2016: the year of spaciousness

Because there's more to life than work

Lightening up

What a week – mad busy at work and other half still not knowing how his arm’s going to heal or if it needs pinning. Got chance to take a few pics in the lovely weather, but no time at all to post. Awful night’s sleep, more work this morning to catch up on backlog, went to do washing up, put playlist on computer – and one of my favourite dance records came on. It’s not great music, I have no idea what the words mean, but you just can’t not dance to Las Ketchup. The rubber gloves were chucked in the sink, the couch got flung back and I had 4 minutes of intense salsa (the neighbours on both sides are away for the weekend and other half was out, so we’re talking high volume/complete freak out session here).

And bloody hell, I felt better afterwards. Singing at the top of your lungs, behaving as if you’re 20 years younger than you actually are – can’t be a better way to shake off the stresses and strains of everyday life.

Disclaimer: I accept no responsibility for any strained muscles, embarassed family members or other issues arising if the link has the same effect on you it does on me. If you’re at all unsure of your ability to participate, have a look at a picture of these lovely flowers instead and try to unwind that way 🙂
