2016: the year of spaciousness

Because there's more to life than work

On acting on impulse…

Despite having trekked up and down a fair bit of the country over the last week, I still said yes when my other half suggested heading up to the Lakes at the weekend. And I’m so glad he did.

IMG_1914The light had that hazy, mellow, golden tone to it and we made the most of it by taking one of our favourite woodland walks in Keswick, along by the River Greta and under the slopes of Latrigg.

IMG_1919Acorns were falling all round us and the light through the trees was just magical.

IMG_1920The path is perfect – meandering, up and down, with occasional breaks in the trees to reveal surprise views.

IMG_1922We walked back via a path just below the crest of the hill, with views above the woods now over to Keswick and Derwentwater.

IMG_1930It was invigorating, relaxing and the perfect way to spend a sunny Sunday – I’m so glad I said yes to that suggestion!
