2016: the year of spaciousness

Because there's more to life than work

Normal service is resumed…have been away

Still reeling from the shock of having 7 days consecutive sunny weather in the wettest place in England – the Lake District. We have been:

Walking – miles and miles through perfect countryside (Newlands Valley below)

Running – admittedly slowly at times given the gradients. View here is of Derwentwater by Keswick from near the top of Walla Crag.

Paddling (me) and wild swimming (him) – no pics to spare embarassment 😉

Admiring the wildflowers, especially the bluebells which had hung on till June because of the cold spring – yes, all that blue in the pic is bluebells, masses and masses of them.

Eating a lot of very good cake/cream teas/food in general. You’ve got to fuel all the activity with something, right? And who could resist a tea stop like this (Bridge Cottage Tea Shop in Grange, if you’re in the area).

IMG_1490And back home to more of the same weather…I could get used to this.
